Role: Concept and Build · Developed in collaboration with Claude (Anthropic) · 2025
The problem
Putting a message on your own site normally means finding a computer, logging into WordPress and navigating to the right screen. By the time you are there, the moment has passed — and the messages worth posting instantly are exactly the ones that can't wait for a computer.
The decisions
A PWA rather than an app in the App Store or Google Play: no review process, no update waiting on approval, just an icon on the home screen that works immediately. And a PIN instead of a WordPress login, because whoever is posting from their own phone in the middle of a shoot or an event shouldn't need to remember an admin password — just a code that's easy to share with the right people and useless to everyone else.
What was built
A WordPress plugin and a companion PWA. You open the app from your phone's home screen, type a word or a short phrase, pick a font and one of five effects — fade-in, gradient-flow, pixel-assemble, glitch or draw-stroke — and tap Post. The overlay appears on the live site immediately, either fading out after 4–6 seconds or staying until it is removed. A PIN unlocks the app; there is no WordPress login in the flow at all.
